Digital-8 (PAL, NTSC) Camcorder Tape Transfer to file

Complete pricing below.
Digital8 is a standardized 8mm digital camcorder tape format and was commercialized in 1999 by Sony, JVC, Panasonic, Sharp, and others.  Digital8 uses the same transport as Hi8 but uses a digital DV codec for recording and playback.  The same P6-120, VideoHi8, 8mm tapes can be used for Digital8 but the tape transports faster and reduces recording time to 60 minutes in NTSC SP mode and 90 minutes in LP mode.  Digital8 has approx. 500 lines of resolution.  Video8, Hi8 and Digital8 cassette tapes fit into any of the 8mm family of camcorders and the camcorders are often backwards compatible with previous 8mm formats, i.e. Digital8 camcorders will often play Video8 and Hi8 tapes and Hi8 camcorders will often play Video8 tapes.  Playback equipment is available.  Sony phased out the format in 2007.
